Week 1

For those of you unfamiliar with the rules and storyline of the apocalypse challenge you can check these two posts from the story of the Knights of Strangetown.

Storyline

"It’s the super bowl and all across the region, people are watching. The whistle blows for half time and every sim in the city goes to use the toilet. Every single toilet in the region is flushed at the same time. The resulting drop in water pressure causes the three nuclear power plants in the area to go critical and melt down, devastating the region. Thankfully the founder is off at college when this happens…but when they return to start their family, they find a very different world they must survive in… "

Day 1 - Monday (Winter)

Welcome to the Witch's Hut. Agrimony's friends from the Secret Society told her about it before she returned to Waknuk, although at the time Agrimony thought that they were crazy to suggest that she live here. That is, she thought they were crazy until she saw the blank barrenness that had once been a lush tropical island. Now she's just greatful to have found a structure that's not in ruins.

No job in Culinary today, so Agrimony takes one in Journalism in the meantime. She was forced to sell off all of the wood paneling in her home in order to pay for a bed, a chair, and a bookcase, and now she's in major need of some cash.

Her first day back in Waknuk, and already the nuclear ash is falling heavily. Agrimony greets the occasional survivor, but the zombies seem to always know when she's outside and try to attack. Quick! Into the house and block the doors and windows!

"I told you all of that dancing would pay off."
All right, you were right. Bloody know-it-all sims.

Get used to it Agrimony, until you become a Celebrity Chef, this is the only thing you get to eat.

Even here in Waknuk, Mr. Blue-Hair-No-Nose still ruins my day.

Day 2 - Tuesday (Winter)

It's only day 2 and already we've managed to locate a possible future pet. Even better, it's Moonshine, who I've heard makes a very awesome pet. Hopefully he'll come back once we've got food in the house!

Great, you're on obit writer. Oh well, I guess with the radiation poisoning and all there must be plenty of work.

Day 3 - Wednesday (Winter)

Looks like it pays to have some integrity even in the journalism business. Unfortunately, it doesn't pay well enough for a promotion.

Day 4 - Thursday (Winter)

Agrimony's been checking the paper every day for a job opening in culinary, but since she's had no luck she's switched to Education. If culinary doesn't come up within a reasonable amount of time I may even let her unlock Education instead.

Since it was too late for Agrimony to go to work today, she stayed home to greet fellow survivors and attempt to get her social and fun up.

Unfortunately, Amin is a bit of a "poo-head" and won't even play red hands with Agrimony. With no other options for fun left open, it's time to smustle baby!

Day 5 - Friday (Winter)

Well, at least you got a promotion today. You missed Moonshine by the way, he stopped by for a few hours after you left for work.

Looks like that cat really loves you! Reminds me of the song "The Cat Came Back the Very Next Day".

Yay! We have a pet!

Ok, so Moonshine doesn't have the best personality, but his saving grace is that he already knows how to use the toilet, so it won't be an issue that we can't buy a litter box.

Feel free to destroy that Moonshine, we don't really like it anyway.

Even better, Moonshine has no problem with eating sim food, although I more had in mind for him to eat the single serving laying on the floor. Good thing sim pets don't get rabies.

Yeah, the sink finally broke under Agrimony's constant demands.

Day 6 - Saturday (Winter)

Woot! Culinary and hamburgers and pet food, here we come!

Even better, Agrimony gets to start TODAY!!

Agrimony was careful to leave out some plates of gelatin for Moonshine before work, so don't worry about our favorite kitty.

Go Agrimony! Wow, you're a lot faster than Emmy was!

I really have no idea whether or not Pinstar intended the no objects outside restriction to cover cars, but I'm rationalizing this by the fact that it's under the house and therefore technically covered by the roof. Besides, I want to see if Agrimony can get two promotions in one day.

Blasted cat! Hmm, I must go check the guide and discover why he's peeing on the floor when he knows how to use the toilet.

Yup, two in one! Too bad the purple outfit is going bye-bye, it complimented her coloring.

As a reward for getting two promotions in one day Agrimony get to have grilled cheese. Lucky girl! Hmm, cheesiness!

Day 7 - Sunday (Winter)

Please don't irritate the skunk Moonshine...

I told you not to bother that skunk!

Poor Agrimony, no promotion, and this is the mess she has to come home to.

Summary

Not a bad first week for Agrimony. She went from being a journalist, to being an educator, to being a culinary whiz. She managed to adopt a pet, who's currently in Show Business, although he's yet to go to work. She added a second story to her house, and managed to just barely pay off the mob. Altogether, not a bad first week.
