Week 10

Last week really slow for awhile there, but then Joe moved in. Soon afterwards Burdock got a job in the Gamer track only to be fired a few days later. Luckily for the Leaf family the Gamer community had already put an ad in the paper and Joe took the job on. Betony finally became an adult on Saturday. She quickly flirted, fell in love, got engaged, got married and got bedded! We soon discovered that Joe is quite proficient at procreation!

Blast! Blast! Blast! I'd played all the way to Friday when we had a local power outage and of course I'd forgotten to save at any point during the week, so now I'll have to start all over again!

Day 65 - Monday (Winter)

As you may recall, Joe was supposed to be lifting the Adventure restrictions for the family, but since Burdock messed up his Gamer career, Joe's had to take on that duty, and he's ill prepared, which means I foresee lots of shower banging in his future. (Get your heads out of the gutter, I meant repairs!)

What's this? It looks like Burdock found another job! Yup, he's an Ambassador's Intern now. Good luck buddy!

Agrimony's time has finally come. She was one of my best ever founders, but she's been hanging around meditating for an awful long time now. She made it to the grand old age of 75.

Day 66 - Tuesday (Winter)

It wasn't easy getting him to spin up the want without a date first, but we did it, they did it, and Burdock finally has his first Woohoo!

Glen just got his second LTW! Good man! You're staying home from now on to help with babies!

Here we have the only good thing to have been caused by having to replay this day three times due to power failures. Betony managed to find a job in Education!!! I can not believe how lucky I'm getting with the careers. Even better, Gamer and Adventure seem to come up twice a week as the first job. Let's hope that doesn't last forever, but it's great for now!

Apparently Agrimony is less than pleased that she's died twice now. I've never seen a sim come back to haunt a family this quickly.

Gotta make sure Brandi stays a family friend. I love marrying this chic into my families! For one thing, she's a Knowledge sim, by far one of the easiest aspirations to keep happy during a nuclear apocalypse!

I hadn't planned on letting these two hook-up, but Burdock needed the aspiration boost. I guess it means that she'll have to marry into the D generation to avoid any conflicts.

Day 69 - Friday (Winter)

While Joe seems to be having some problems getting promotions, it's now Burdock's time to shine. I guess it was worth using Brandi as an aspiration boost after all!

Glen's taken to his new place in the household very well. He even found an old recliner he can nap in next to Caraway's crib, making him that much more available for the next generation. Whether this recliner counts as a one tile or two tile object is open to debate. When it's not in recline mode it sits on one tile.

Day 70 - Saturday (Winter)

Burdock is the only family member who works today, so the rest of the family is busy skill building for future promotions. Unfortunately for Betony, that means cleaning, something she'd rather not do.

Don't let the expression fool you, Mouse actually loves kids, he's constantly hanging around the nursery waiting for hugs!

Day 71 - Sunday (Winter)

I finally had to give into the demands of my two Family sims and purchase a high chair. You'd think neither of them has realized that in sim world you can get away with bottles until the little tyke is a child. I do however, have to admit that I enjoy the cute factor of the high chair.

My toddlers are usually way too busy to boogie with the radio, but gosh it's cute!

Summary: This week our beloved founder Agrimony passed away at the ripe age of 75 days old. Not bad for a sim who never achieved her LTW. To balance things out we also saw the birth of the first 3rd generation child, Caraway Leaf. All the adults managed to find jobs in the career tracks that I wanted (how amazing is that?). Betony is currently an Elementary School Teacher, Joe is a Flag Capturer, and Burdock has made it all the way to Deep Sea Excavator. Of course, all this meant that Glen was forced to quit his job and stay home with Caraway, but he seems to be enjoying it. Also, Mouse, Mr. Whiskers, and Sassy all became elders. Hopefully there will be some deaths soon so that Betony and Joe can have some more children. Hopefully none of the new graves will further obstruct the house!

Week 9

Last week we had our first Togetherness Tuesday. Agrimony spent most of the week meditating after finally getting into platinum due to some private time with Glen, but she was allowed to attend Burdock's coming of age party. Burdock somehow managed to grow-up well despite the lack of dates. We met Betony's future husband who is perfect for a lot of jobs. He'll probably be moving in on Tuesday. Glen became quite a handsome elderly man in really sharp cloths and the cat ghosts drove everyone nuts. There was a massive rearranging of furniture in the household to accommodate the increase in ghost traffic and the new grave of the sadly departed Sake, who chose to die an hour later than normal, right in near the front door.

The people (as in all of you who chose to vote) have spoken and Betony and Joe will be pursuing careers in Adventure and Gamer, providing they can find an opening in the paper. It was a close vote at the end with the final score being 3 Military/Education, 4 Gamer/Adventure.

Day 58 - Monday (Winter)

With Burdock monopolizing the computer all day long, Glen has to work on his creative skills in the wee hours of the morning, but he's not complaining, he doesn't need that much sleep anymore anyway.

Apparently I'm not the only one who thinks that Burdock turned out quite well!

Poor Betony, pimply, working out while a lazy person watches, and dressed in one of the biggest fashion mistakes ever made.

Agrimony at 67 days old and counting....

This poor girl has the absolute worst case of acne I've ever seen on a sim, poor kiddo!

Day 59 - Tuesday (Winter)

Basically it was a normal Togetherness Tuesday which meant I was too busy restoring relationships to keep up with photo taking!

Day 60 - Wednesday (Winter)

Joe only brought $3,000 to the family, but has a nice skill set. I carefully shared out his inventory items between the family for now since I'm still not quite sure what the approved method of disposal is. He's currently a Coach, but it's not a job he'll be keeping.

At least this is one item that it's easy to get rid of. Joe is now all set for Betony. His new turn-ons are Black Hair and Fitness and he's turned off by Make-Up. Perfect!

And this was the rest of Wednesday, skilling and random townies to keep up the friend count.

This is the one thing I hate about the Witch's Hut, most of the sims seem to have problems with remembering to put a coat on when they go outside.

It's the one benefit of living in a perpetual Winter Wonderland. That tower in the background is where I'm testing out building ideas for future attempts at the apocalypse, btw.

The other two fools are too busy to even notice that poor Betony is now an ice statue. I'm sorry dear, I'll get you into a hot bath right away.

Well, maybe not right away, I had to see it at least once! (It's battery operated, that's why it still works!)

Day 61 - Thursday (Winter)

I'm not actively trying to kill Glen you understand, but he's about half a skill point from Maxing Creativity and he does have nine Mech... doesn't matter anyway since the operation was a success.

And just where do you think you're going Burdock?
"To work, I got a job this morning as a Noob!"

Hooray! Free phone lines, here we come! I did and didn't cheat for this. You see, the newspaper was glitched, he'd pick it up to find a job and then put it down. So I had him look on the computer, but only at the first job, and then I demoted him down to starting position. I think it should still be valid since it was to overcome a glitch!

Apparently this particular snowman offended Glen somehow, or it could be because some idiot decided to block access to the pet house.

Poor Burdock, an apocalypse is hard on some types of sims, and he's one of them. No dates is just something he doesn't comprehend.

Even Sassy is getting a bit annoyed by our growing crowd of snowmen.

Day 62 - Friday (Winter)

At least all that junk that Joe brought with him is useful for buying friendship!

The newspapers are still glitched, so I guess I'll keep using the first job on the computer and demoting them methodology.

Day 63 - Saturday (Winter)

Blast! Luckily for me, Gamer was once again the only job available today so I'll have Joe try his hand at it instead.

Don't be so hard on yourself Burdock, it's my fault, not yours.

Growing up is not always hard to do, sometimes it's much easier than staying young!

Betony may be on Cloud 9, but poor Burdock's life is in the dumps. He got fired, he's not allowed to date, he's never had a Woohoo and he's so desperate for a chance at the ladies that he's smustling in the kitchen with a piece of jail bait.

Day 64 - Sunday (Winter)

Looks like that first Woohoo was successful though!

Betony seems to be spending most of her time in the kitchen. Every time she eats it all comes back up, so she's constantly hungry.

Joe has issues with looking directly at the camera, but at least he's got no problems with promotions! Of course, this is NOT the career he signed on for, and he's lacking in the skills required, but he doesn't have much else to do anyway.

I guess we'll leave off with a shot of the Incredibly Purple Grape Girl!
